Characteristics differ between variants of a connector
To meet demands for increasingly compact and thin devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs, JST introduces the Micro SIM Card connector as an addition to their broad range of SIM Card connectors. The 6-position SCYT connector has been developed for the third generation SIM Card - the Micro SIM.
The Micro SIM has dimensions of 15mm x 12mm compared to 25mm x 15mm of the Mini SIM, therefore the SIM Card connector has a smaller footprint offering space saving benefits to design engineers.
A simple structure and easy to operate pull-tab is used for insertion and removal of the SIM card. This connector has a mounting height of 1.4mm and is currently available in Reverse tray type.
