Upper contact point The MJ connector has an upper contact point design. With this construction, the contact points are free from dust even before the connector is mated with the modular plug. Metal hook The MJ connector has metal hooks, which provides click feeling when mounted on a PC board, and are soldered later. With these hooks, the connector can be securely mounted on the board, resistant against the external forces applied by the wires of the plug. *Low profile type 8 circuits MJ connector with plastic hooks is also available. Shielding effect By covering the whole connector, it provides a high quality shielding effect. Grounding By soldering the Shield Cover (the spring part), it provides secure grounding through the Hook to the PC board.
